Street Art Siberia Forum in Novokuznetsk

The Street Art Siberia Forum was held in Novokuznetsk from February 28 to March 1. Street Art Research Institute was the program partner of the project.
The mission of the forum, which was held for the fifth time by the Street Art Week festival team, is to unite street art professionals and enthusiasts from all over Siberia.
The purpose of the Street Art Siberia Forum was to exchange experiences, network, and discuss issues relevant to the region.

The event was attended by organizers of graffiti festivals, curators, and street artists. This year, the Forum brought together 56 experts from 21 Russian cities: Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Omsk, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk, Krasnouralsk, Yekaterinburg, Penza, Samara, Saratov, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Murmansk.

At the end of the forum, 77.1% of participants rated their satisfaction with the Forum as "excellent", and 16.1% - as "good". Almost half of respondents (45.2%) noted that they found new project to participate during the Forum.
Almost one-third (32.3%) of the participants acquired a new team member.
More than half - 58% - of the participants believe that they managed to deeply immerse themselves in the topic of street art and discover some key aspects of the topics discussed.

"The participants' stories help to believe in themselves and overcome the fear of being misunderstood and rejected," noted one of the participants.

The three-day program included discussions, expert sessions, presentations by participants, experience exchange sessions, excursions and a final public discussion with city residents as part of the opening of the exhibition "Street Wave. Siberia". The key principles in the development and holding of the forum were participation and mutual learning.
